PESH-KABS, Dagger

Steel, rock crystal, gold, wood, silk.

Full Length: 42, 5 cm; Blade Length: 31 cm

Pesh-Kabs with a straight and quite strong blade in watered steel, reinforced at the back, with a single edge and ending in an extremely fine tip.

The hilt is in rock crystal engraved with geometrical forms (lozenges). The metal fitting in the base is entirely engraved and decorated with a frond themed frieze incrusted in koftgari gold.

It has a wooden scabbard covered in silk, from a later date.

Pesh-Kabs com lâmina construída em aço damasquino, recta e bastante robusta com dorso reforçado, de gume simples e a terminar em ponta finíssima.

O punho é em cristal de rocha, gravado com formas geométricas de losangos. O encaixe metálico da base, é todo gravado e decorado com um friso vegetalista incrustado a ouro em koftgari.

Apresenta bainha de madeira, forrada a seda, de época posterior.
